The Taihe Men (Gate of Supreme Harmony) and Taihe Dian (Hall of Supreme Harmoney)are currently being renovated in preparation for the 2008 games. Both buildings really were badly in need of repair. The Taihe Dian is really iconic of the Forbidden City, and it's the largest wooden hall in China. This photo was taken from under the scoffolding leading to the build site.
