He's a stout, grizzled man. He appeared out of thin air one night, having hitched a ride down from his village in the mountains to visit family without telling them. He wore heavy silver bracelets on each of his wrists, smoked a lot of cigarettes, and drank a lot. Even though he's more than 70 years old, he still does hard labor.
